London, 7 November 2008 Celebrate St. Andrew's Day at Boisdale with the Singleton of Dufftown on Saturday 29th NovemberLondon's Scottish restaurant Boisdale will be celebrating St Andrew's Day by serving up "The Taste of Highlands" on Saturday 29th November. A gourmet 4-course menu, accompanying piper and a noggin of just launched Scotch whisky, Singleton of Dufftown, will set the scene for the evening. The specially created St. Andrew's Eve menu will feature a selection of Boisdale's most sumptuous and traditional Highland and Hebridean delicacies, such as the Aberdeenshire rib-eye from the new succulent steak menu, best-selling roasted Macsween Haggis with mash & bashed neeps, Orkney herring and the raspberry cranachan, a traditional Scottish dessert of whipped cream, whisky and oatmeal. The four-course menu is set at £42. Boisdale, voted Whisky Restaurant of 2008, offers a perfect setting and ideal backdrop to experience the Scottish 'spirit' – a Singleton of Dufftown 12-year single malt. Singleton will be offering a noggin of whisky with every haggis served on the night to prepare diners for the overnight journey into St. Andrew's Day. Boisdale neighbours will be able to join in the celebrations with Pipe Major Willie Cochrane (piper for The King's Own Scottish Borderers) performing outside Boisdale of Belgravia between 7pm and 9pm in homage to Scotland and in anticipation of a year of festivities for the international Scots'’ Homecoming in 2009.
